The particles were frozen, more or less spherical, fairly hard, and bounced when they hit our deck. I could mash the largest particles into lenticular shapes, but they did not pulverize or mash flat. Sizes varied, with the largest just over 1/4-inch. The ground was turned somewhat white briefly, but there was no real depth to the accumulation and it melted quickly. Seemed more like hail to me than sleet, so I'm reporting it. |
