Soil is dry but not cracked. Lawn is looking fairly brown but most plants look green. Corn and soybeans are growing quite well, mostly green, some brown spots on the soybeans, not sure but that may be chemically induced from what I was told in previous years. Japanese beetles are starting to show up. Corn now 67-78 inches tall, grew 57-62 inches in 21 days, that's an average of 2.8 inches per day. Soybeans in both adjacent fields now 10-15 inches tall, grew 7-11 inches in 21 days, that's an average of 0.3-0.5 inches per day. Apples now 1.4-1.8 inch diameter, grew 0.5-0.7 inch in 21 days. Pears now 0.9-1.1 inch diameter, only grew 0-0.3 inch in 21 days. Horse Creek tributary at 9000W Rd (1/4 mile south) flowing only about 10% full, 15 inch farm drainage line at same location flowing about 10% full. Basement sump has stopped flowing.
