Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: IN-CL-14
Station Name: Frankfort 4.9 NNE
Report Date: 6/30/2025
Submitted: 6/30/2025 1:58 PM
Scale Bar: Mildly Dry
Description:
It’s halfway through 2025 and I’m near normal on precipitation at 20.24 inches. 8.09 inches for June yet drought conditions are quickly settling in. The ground went from saturated to concrete. Our lake level has fallen 8 inches. Only 0.04 inches of rain has fallen in the last 10 days during this heatwave. This drought actually is a long term event, going back over the last 3 1/2 years. Several natural springs that feed the lake has disappeared and the ground water is suffering as well. Corn crops near me seem to be fairing very well with chest high being the average height.
